You will not be joining a small team. Our sister companies have more than 300 employees in the Greater Bay Area alone. To us, technology should not be a dazzling showcase for its own sake; it should genuinely respond to the practical needs of schools, teachers, and students. We are looking for talent with technical understanding, product judgement, project ownership, and cross-functional coordination skills to help us build an AI-powered education platform that can be truly implemented and used over the long term. Role Overview We are hiring a Technical Project Manager / Technical Product Manager to help plan, coordinate, and drive the delivery of our core AI education platform. This is not a purely business-facing PM role, nor is it a role limited to meeting notes and general coordination. We are looking for someone with an IT background who understands software development processes, can communicate effectively with engineers, and can push technical teams towards real delivery. You will work closely with product, engineering, AI, curriculum, content, business, and management teams to ensure that requirements, technical assessment, product design, development, testing, launch, and continuous iteration move forward in a structured and practical way. The core of this role is execution. You need to understand the language of technical teams, grasp the basic logic of frontend, backend, databases, APIs, AI features, and system integration, and translate business and education needs into clear product tasks that engineers can understand and execute. Key Responsibilities Drive the end-to-end delivery of the AI education platform, covering requirements, technical assessment, product planning, development coordination, testing, launch, and iteration. Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical solutions, development timelines, system limitations, and potential risks. Translate the needs of management, curriculum, content, and business teams into clear product requirements, technical communication documents, task breakdowns, and acceptance criteria. Track development progress, identify blockers, and coordinate frontend, backend, AI, database, and QA-related work to ensure issues are resolved quickly. Participate in discussions around product flow, system logic, user experience, and feature priorities, balancing education needs, technical feasibility, and long-term scalability. Support the implementation of AI-related features by helping define functional logic, expected output quality, usage limitations, and acceptance standards. Maintain project timelines, task status, version plans, issue logs, and cross-functional communication rhythm to keep all stakeholders aligned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred. Must have experience in IT, software development, technical project management, technical product management, system analysis, business analysis, or a related technical role. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, technical assessment, frontend and backend development, API integration, database design, testing, deployment, and version iteration. You do not need to code on a daily basis, but you must be able to communicate effectively with engineers and understand technical challenges, system constraints, development estimates, and delivery risks. Experience with web platforms or SaaS product development is preferred. Experience with admin systems, multi-role platforms, education platforms, or B2B systems would be an advantage. Basic understanding of frontend, backend, databases, and third-party service integration. Familiarity with React, Node.js, Python, Java, SQL, RESTful APIs, or cloud deployment concepts would be a strong advantage. Strong requirement analysis and task breakdown skills, with the ability to turn vague ideas into clear, actionable, and testable product tasks. Strong ownership and follow-through, with the ability to proactively track progress, organise issues, remind responsible parties, drive decisions, and ensure outcomes are delivered. Familiarity with Jira, Notion, Confluence, Figma, Miro, Trello, Asana, or other project / product management tools is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English. Fluency in Cantonese, with good Mandarin and English communication skills, would be an advantage. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Software Engineer, System Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, IT Project Manager, Technical Product Manager, or experience transitioning from a technical role into product or project management. Experience with education technology, AI applications, SaaS platforms, B2B systems, learning platforms, or multi-role admin systems. Understanding of large language models, AI APIs, Prompt Engineering, knowledge-base Q&A, RAG, vector databases, or AI teaching assistant concepts. Basic UI / UX judgement, with the ability to suggest product improvements from both user experience and engineering implementation perspectives. Hands-on experience coordinating engineering teams to deliver product launches, version iterations, or system implementation projects.
