Handshake Networking Ltd is expanding its services as a provider of information security automation consulting and contract work and is looking for more experienced developers to join this team. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) playbooks using n8n and Rapid7 InsightConnect - Write clean, robust, and well-documented Python scripts and applications to integrate security tools, parse complex logs, and automate routine analytical tasks - Build custom integrations connecting various security controls, threat intelligence feeds, cloud environments, and internal systems via REST APIs - Partner closely with security analysts to identify manual bottlenecks and design optimised, elegant, automated solutions - Monitor, troubleshoot, and continually optimise existing automation workflows to ensure high availability and reliability Mandatory Technical Expertise: - SOAR Platforms: Proven, hands-on experience designing and debugging workflows in n8n and Rapid7 InsightConnect - Programming: Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with standard libraries, API interaction (requests), data parsing (JSON/XML), and basic security libraries - Security Domain Knowledge: A solid understanding of core security concepts, including common threat vectors, network protocols, API security, and incident response lifecycles - Systems and APIs: Familiarity with integrating security tools (SIEM, EDR, Microsoft Sentinel, vulnerability scanners) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) via APIs. Experience with SailPoint, Okta or Saviynt - Version Control: Experience using Git for version control and collaborative development The following skills would be considered desirable: - Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks - Relevant security or developer certifications (e.g. GIAC, Python certifications, or platform-specific badges) Due to the international nature of our clients and regional partnerships, the successful candidate must meet the following language requirements: English: Full professional fluency (written and spoken) is essential. You will be expected to write clear technical documentation and communicate complex concepts to clients and team members Tagalog: Workable proficiency (capable of handling professional conversations and collaborative tasks) Mandarin: Workable proficiency (capable of handling professional conversations and collaborative tasks) The role is based in Kwai Chung, although working from home is acceptable.
