Position Description The Fund Ops IT Group is responsible for the development, management and support of CSI’s Post Trade Applications, Middleware and Messaging systems. This also includes the development, delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services. As part of the team, you’ll work very closely with business users, various other teams for new projects, perform business analysis & governance and lead the effort to deliver change for the APAC markets. Key Areas of Responsibilities Lead on requirements gathering, Business Analysts, Project Planning & Execution, & Documentation for the APAC business with a special focus on HK and Connect initiatives, 24-Hour Trading and shorter settlement cycles. Participate in the functional solutions for Post Trade applications. Responsible in engaging all IT teams / stakeholders to ensure delivery of these Post Trade projects. You would also work closely with other IT teams (e.g. Front Office IT, Finance IT) teams to plan out front to back system changes Engage in strategic change projects and be a part of requirements analysis and functional solution for these initiatives Engage with Operations team or other Business team to gather requirements which impact or are related to Middle & Back Office systems Requirements Engineering Degree or higher in IT related fields of studies 10 to 15 years’ overall IT industry experience of which minimum 5 years in an Investment Banking environment [Must Have] 5+ years expertise as a Business Analyst with exposure to Post Trade / Middle & Back Office Equity applications [Must Have] Expertise in HKMA and SFC regulatory and compliance requirements, Extended Trading Hours impacts [Must Have] Should have strong understanding and application of Project Management practices and have managed projects independently as a Project Manager Must be strong in communication skill, able to translate complex technical/functional issues and explain business impact to non-technical stakeholders Strong desire to learn Cash Equities business workflow and front to back system architecture Capable of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure/multi-tasking Good team player. Capable of working under a fast pace and dynamic environment Willing to learn and assess new technologies (e.g. self-sufficient to write SQL queries required for analysis, new programming language, etc.) Preferred Skills, Experience and Competencies Good to have knowledge of other technologies like FIX, SWIFT or Reconciliation systems A strong appreciation of key business drivers and an understanding of the IT impact upon the business Able to communicate in Mandarin
