Observability & Tracing: - Experience using error monitoring tools (Sentry or similar) to trace issues back to a specific timestamp and error context. - Ability to read application logs and correlate them with user-reported problems. Software Engineering Literacy: - SQL (PostgreSQL): Write SELECT queries with joins to investigate data state and verify customer claims about missing or incorrect records. - Frontend Debugging (Vue.js / Nuxt UI): Open browser DevTools, inspect the console for errors, examine failing network requests, and reproduce API calls. You know how to capture a HAR file and interpret it well enough to say "the API returned a 500" versus "the frontend never sent the request." Customer Psychology (Core Competency): - You understand that freight forwarding is high-pressure, deadline-driven, and relationship-based. A missed shipping instruction can cost real money and damage business trust. - You know how to de-escalate: validate emotions first, then move to problem-solving. - You can sense when a customer needs technical answers versus when they simply need reassurance that someone competent is in control. - You are patient with non-technical users but precise when talking to technically-minded logistics professionals. - You never make the customer feel stupid for asking a question. Nice-to-Have (Not Required) - Experience working in or with the freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics industry. - Familiarity with collaboration platforms or multi-tenant SaaS products. - Exposure to federated or distributed system concepts. - Previous remote work experience across timezones. - Golang: Read and understand the codebase well enough to trace where a user-reported issue might originate. You are not writing patches, but you can navigate the code to inform your bug reports.
