Job Title: Product Manager / Customer Services Location: Sheung Wan, Hong Kong (with travel to mainland China) Salary: HKD 35,000–35,000–45,000 per month Employment Type: Full-time, permanent SUMMARY OF ROLE We’re a growing, founder-led packaging company backed by private equity but run like a startup. We need someone who can take a customer brief, talk to our team and factories in China, and make sure the right product gets delivered on time, on cost, and on quality. You’ll work alongside Senior Management Team, Account Managers, QC teams, and suppliers. You’ll travel to China (occasionally). You’ll solve problems. And you’ll care about how a box looks and feels. We’re known for innovation in materials and design. We work with factories across China. We have our own sample-making and QC team in China. Our customer-facing teams are in Hong Kong and London. THE ROLE – WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO You will be the operational bridge between our customers, our Account Managers, and our supply chain in China. Your main responsibilities: Brief management Work with Account Managers to understand customer product requirements in detail. Log everything on our system. Production coordination Liaise with factories to hit KPIs – cost, timing, artwork, quality. Checking samples when they arrive against the specs Supplier sourcing Find new factories to improve our supplier base and give our sales team new products to take to market. Customer contact Attend customer meetings and speak directly with customers when the Account Manager is unavailable. Travel Based in Sheung Wan, but able to travel to mainland China as needed. You will not be sitting in meetings all day. You will be making things happen. WHO YOU ARE We don’t need a corporate robot. We need someone who: · Learns fast – You can take something ambiguous and make it clear for a factory or a customer. · Cares about quality – You notice how a product looks and feels. You don’t have to be a designer, but you appreciate good design. We will teach you about print and packaging. · Is organised – Our customers and factories can be disorganised. You are the one who brings clarity. · Speaks three languages fluently – English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Most of your customers will be English-speaking. · Is systems-driven – You keep good records. You’re fast and efficient with whatever tools you use. MUST HAVES Languages Fluent English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (written and spoken) Location Based in Hong Kong, able to travel to China Mindset Comfortable with ambiguity, no need for rigid SOPs Experience Packaging / print / production experience is a plus, but not mandatory – we will teach you the technical side.
