We’re seeking an experienced Retail Support Engineer / System Administrator to provide retail store support in a Hong Kong retail organization. Job Responsibilities: 1. Retail Store Support (Primary) Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for retail stores, POS machine, workstations, printers, and store network connectivity issues; Coordinate hardware deployment, system configuration, maintenance, and end-of-life device replacement; Configure seed file for installation of POS machine; Plan and configure hardware, network and POS for store opening and closing; Manage services level of outsource store support vendor for non-office support, hardware spart part replacement and inventory management; Prepare operational reports, hardware inventory updates, backup status reports, and incident summaries. 2. Systems Administration (Secondary) Support and maintain Windows and Linux server infrastructure, including virtual machines, and cloud services; Administer Active Directory, DNS, system backups, and security policies; Administer email (Exchange, SMTP) and file-sharing systems (DFS, SharePoint, OneDrive); Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, PBX, network equipment and network security (VLAN/WAN); Apply patches and conduct vulnerability assessments and disaster recovery; Document procedures, helpdesk operations, and incident management processes; Responsible for software / hardware procurement and upgrades, inventory management; Assist Manager to implement IT projects if any. Job Requirements: Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; 5+ years as a Retail Support Engineer, System Administrator, or similar role; Solid experience in retail store support; Experience in LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall management, network security, Microsoft 365, Domain Group Policy, Active Directory Services is ad advantage; Experience in Cloud infrastructure, server (Window, Linux) virtualization platforms, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Alibaba Cloud), storage and backup solutions, SSL certification, disaster recovery is an advantage; Strong incident diagnostic and problem-solving aptitude; Knowledge in IT security policy, best practices and tools is an advantage; Certifications like MCSE, MSCA, VMware, AWS are a plus; Certifications like CCNA/CCNP, CISSP are a plus.
