C3 Construction Robotics Limited is a pioneering company dedicated to the advancement of cutting-edge robotic technology for the construction industry. Our team specializes in developing autonomous robotic systems that streamline complex tasks and improve efficiency and safety in construction processes. We are seeking a Software / Control Engineer to join our passionate engineering team to assist in the design, prototyping, and testing of innovative robotic systems and components. Responsibilities Design, implement, and tune motion control algorithms (PID, MPC, admittance/force control) for multi-DOF robotic systems operating on building facade surfaces. Develop automation and path planning solutions for surface coverage, ensuring efficient and complete operation paths across complex building geometries. Develop and implement compliance protocols to enable safe, adaptive interaction between the robots and controllers, accommodating variations in surface features, projections, and obstructions through integration of sensors and suitable control strategies. Develop state estimation and sensor fusion pipelines using data from LIDAR, depth cameras, IMUs, and encoders to maintain accurate positioning and orientation during operation. Implement fail-safe behaviors and emergency response routines, including automatic braking, tether management, and safe recovery from abnormal states. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field. Experience in robotics software development, with a strong focus on control systems. Freshgraduate is also welcome. Strong proficiency in C++ / C , with experience writing real-time, performance-critical code, and ROS2 in production environments. Experience with sensor fusion and state estimation . Basic Understanding of control theory (PID, MPC, force control). Experience working with Linux environments and embedded compute platforms. Knowledge of various manufacturing processes, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and sheet metal fabrication. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively across engineering disciplines. Bonus Skills Basic knowledge about hardware like sensors and actuators. A brief portfolio of images with short descriptions of recent work / project is highly recommended.
