We seek a Senior Python Backend Engineer with ≥3 years’ experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable, production-grade backend systems. Required: Python 3.8+, Django/Flask, RESTful APIs, asyncio/Celery, PostgreSQL. Must optimize queries, implement Redis caching, ensure API reliability, security (OAuth2/JWT), and observability (logging/metrics/tracing). Proficiency in AWS (EC2/S3/RDS/Lambda/ECS), Docker, basic Kubernetes, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) is essential. Experience with microservices—including HTTP/gRPC communication, service discovery, distributed logging—is required. Candidate must understand scalability-consistency-latency trade-offs and have led/performed performance tuning (e.g., >40% API latency reduction, 1K+ RPS handling). Writes clean, testable, documented code; practices TDD/BDD; engages in code reviews and mentoring. Cross-functional collaboration with frontend engineers, PMs, and QA is vital. Fully remote role;
