We aggregate and serve financial market data to institutional clients. Real-time feeds from 20+ sources, low-latency APIs handling 50k+ requests per minute. Stack is Scala 2.13 with Akka, Kafka streaming, PostgreSQL with TimescaleDB, Kubernetes on GCP. Work includes new exchange integrations, performance optimization, and reliability improvements. Need strong functional programming background and distributed systems experience. Financial markets knowledge helpful but not mandatory. Remote team across US and Europe with core hours overlap 9am to 1pm Eastern.
